Storaasli, Dr. Olaf K. Died May 16, 2006 at age 90. Retired New Testament Professor from Luther Seminary. Previously served as President and Professor at Lutheran Seminary, Saskatoon, Canada. Survived by wife, Lila; four children, Olaf (Barbara) Storaasli, Carolyn (James) Nestingen, Faith Hutin, and Elizabeth Storaasli (Mark Knutson); 10 grandchildren; 3 step grandsons; and 2 great granddaughters. Visitation Sunday 4-7 PM at HOLCOMB- HENRY-BOOM FUNERAL HOME, 536 N. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. Memorial Service Monday 11 AM ST. ANTHONY PARK LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2323 Como Ave. St. Paul with a time of fellowship following the service. Memorials preferred to International Student Scholarship Fund of Luther Seminary or to St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church.

Thanks to all who joined us last Monday to celebrate Dad's life and Faith.

On Dad's visit to us, just a month before his peaceful passing, Dad said:

"At my age, I'm grateful to God for 3 things:

1. My Health: sight, hearing and functioning mind

2. My family

3. My Faith

He then related several sentences about travel concluding:

"I'm ready for a 1-way ticket to heaven".

Dear Lila, Olaf, Barbara and all Storaasli family members,

I learned of Olaf's passing via Pastor Mark Johnson of Northfield. It was such a shock and saddened me deeply, especially having just heard from Olaf via email a few days before that about plans to visit with each other in June.
