To Mrs. Rizzo’s Family:
I was sad to hear of Mrs. Rizzo’s passing. She was a notable figure in my life as a child. I can remember her warm smile, hearty laugher and her Italian accent when she spoke to us in English. She and my mom were the best friends thru the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. She was a generous lady and often shared her pizza’s, lasagna, to name a few, and her wonderful homemade bread with our family. After moving back to our old neighborhood, I took a walk down memory lane (sort of speak) and I’m happy that as I passed her house she was out there in front yard watering and I had a very nice visit with her. I only regret that I didn’t make it back to her home, for the longer visit we talked about. She was still a beautiful lady, loved her family and still took pride in her home. She told me how she got up in the morning and cleaned.
May your cherished memories give you comfort at this time of your loss.
Sincerely,
Sandy (Contreras) Tuohy
