Auntie Ollie was very dear to me. She was our closest family when growing up. When we were young my dad, Cliff, always vacationed to Ottawa to see her and she often visited us in Toronto. As I grew older I continued my travels to Ottawa just to be near her. In fact, she made sure she kept in touch with the three of us, which includes my two brothers Chris and Cliff. She was an independent character with strong values and she cared deeply for her family. I will sadly miss Auntie Ollie, but I am grateful that she had been a large part of my life.
With all my love, Leila Buckler

Remembering Ollie,
I have a great story that I fondly remember when I think of her.
When I was 5 1/2 years old, I lived in La chute, Que and Ollie lived with her Mom Mary in Ottawa, she was 20ish at the time. On this particular occasion Ollie hitch-hiked all the way from Ottawa to La chute to surprise me with the small white kitten she had hidden in her shirt just for me. I was so excited I almost jumped out of my skin. I later grew to know and respect her and remember that she would never go out without a slip on or her hair perfect with a hat. There are many other stories of Olive and her nuances that we have been taking the time to reminisce about and remember her fondly I am honored to have known her.
To you Ralph and your family we offer our condolences.

Dear Ralph,
Thank you for notifying me of Auntie Ollie's passing. I am glad we had some great time together. I remember fondly the time we drove to Montreal to visit Dorothy. Your mother was a fantastic friend and will be missed. Please stay in touch.
Love Aunty Nicky and family

Ralph, Darlene and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Auntie Ollie. I had the opportunity to live with her when I moved here to attend Grade 12, she lived on Frank Street at the time. She was a wonderful character and educated me on our family tree! She will be missed. My condolences to you and your family.
Ann Lanthier (nee Davidson) and family...how are we related? well, I am the daughter of Gloria Davidson (nee Trottier) and the grandaughter of Helen Trottier (nee Forest), and my grandmother and Auntie Ollie were brought up together by your grandmother, whom we fondly referred to as TMary. The family has grown so much over the years and we never keep in touch. We did meet many years ago and I do remember either by story or by meeting in real life your Uncle Cliff as well. Whew! Take Care
