Beahrs, Dr. Oliver H. Dr. Beahrs, age 91, died on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Season's Hospice in Rochester, MN. He was born on September 19, 1914 in Eufaula, Alabama. On July 27, 1947 he married Helen Taylor in Rochester, MN. Survivors include wife, Helen Beahrs of Rochester, MN; son, Dr. John R. "Randy" (Margaret) Beahrs of St. Paul, MN; son, David H. Beahrs of St. Paul, MN; daughter, Nancy (Gary) Oster of Stillwater, MN; daughter, Gean (Dick) Landy of Chatsworth, CA; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild; brother, John V. Beahrs of Palo Alto, CA; sister, Mary B. Grah of Orinda, CA; sister, Ruth B. Spangenberg of Palo Alto, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Charles & Elsa Katherine (Smith) Beahrs. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 11:30 AM at Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester, Minnesota with visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester, MN. Private family burial took place at the Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Memorials to American College of Surgeon's F.L.S. or Christ United Methodist Church. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, MN.

Randy, I wanted to extend to you my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your father. He was a great surgeon, humanitarian and just a wonderful person. I saw him a few years ago at a restaurant and at that time he still remembered me as Dr. Utz's secretary. May the Lord give you comfort, guidance and strength during these sorrowful days ahead.
