Oliver England, 87, of Crossville, passed away May 20, 2008. Funeral services were conducted May 22 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Mike Kirby and the Rev. Melvin Brown officiating. Burial was in Rinnie Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. England was born May 9, 1921, in Overton County.

Before retiring, he was a coal miner and pastor. He was a member of High Point Baptist Church in Morgan County.

Survivors include his sons, Curtis England (Vicky) of Crossville, William C. England of Clarkrange, Oliver Ray England (Joyce) of Crossville, Aaron Lee England of Crossville, David Lynn England of Clarkrange and Phillip Loren England of Crossville; daughters, Reba Jo Phillips (Tilman) of Monterey and Mary Joan Adams (Jonah) of Crossville; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen England.

Pallbearers were Kevin Phillips, Tilman Phillips, Wade Norris, Eric Applegate, Bill England and David England.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

so sorry to hear he passed away my father worked in the mines with him for many years in wilder and horspound my dad,s name Earl Thomason better knowen as Trap i,m Earl junior
