Oliver Woodrow North BRISTOL, Tenn. Funeral services for Oliver Woodrow North will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, from the Steele Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Lyons, Brother Kenneth Beene and Brother Gary Addington officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Jones, Bob Cribbs, Deacons Keith Thomas and Ralph Loving, trustees of the church, Ed Hinkle, Steve Lovegrove, and Darren Smith, and friend and brother in Christ, Kicking Eagle. Online condolences may be registered at www.Weaverfuneralhome.net Oliver Woodrow North, age 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Wellmont Hospice House, with his loving wife by his side. Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

I will be in prayer for you as you go through the loss of Mr. North. I took care of him about 6 years ago as his nurse. He always had a smile and was so kind.

I was very sorry to hear of Woody's passing, I worked for him many years ago selling mobile homes, he was a great mentor and friend. It has been several years since I last saw him, but he had not changed a bit, still had his sense of humor and mild manor. May God comfort each of his family during this time of sorrow.
