PORT ARTHUR - Oran J. Broussard, 87, of Port Arthur died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Tx.He was born on November 15, 1921 in Meaux, Louisiana to Odilion Broussard and Maude Pierce Broussard. Oran served as a motor machinist's mate second class in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He had lived in Port Arthur for 62 years and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. He retired from Atlantic Richfield as an auto mechanic after 35 years. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Reverend T. R. Blanco of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and David Bleakley will be officiatng. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Oran was preceded in death by his daughter; Frances Broussard Hebert, brother; Norris Broussard, Sr., and his great granddaughter; Avery Anne Guerra. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anita M. Broussard of Port Arthur, two sons; Gerald Broussard of Groves, and Rodney Broussard and wife, Debbie of Port Arthur, nine grandchildren; Bryan Broussard, Spencer Broussard, Tiffany Broussard, Michael Broussard, Danael Broussard, Jordan Broussard, Jeremy Rodriguez, Jared Rodriguez, and Jennifer Rodriguez, and five great grandchildren; Kolby Duhon, Kassidy Broussard, Blixa Broussard, Kaylee Broussard, and Samuel Broussard.
