Orval Floyd Allen born March 13, 1920 in Gray Rock, WY to Issac (Burt) and Adie (Whittaker) Allen the youngest of ten children, who all have preceded him in death. Died on July 8, 2006 at Liberty Country Place, Centralia after twenty-seven years in the Washington area. After two marriages, the first to Cleo Mitchell (divorced) after 36 years and having two children, a son Carl B. Allen of Prescott, AZ and Elizabeth J. (died a 1 1/2 years). His second wife, Carmyn Solly, whom has been married to him for 28 loving years, with two stepchildren. First, Dana Solly, whom passed away in 2004 and his sister Robyn Michalovic of Hesperia, Ca. Orval is survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and one nephew.
Orval was employed with Aero-Jet General Co. for thirty years before retiring in 1979 and moving to Washington after being involved in racing from the early 1950s until 1972. He was a well known driver and the owner known as "The Candy Stick Kid" because of his giving out candy canes to children and painting his cars with red and white stripes. He loved fishing, lapidary, and landscape painting, with a great love of meeting and talking with people as a Wal-Mart greeter in Chehalis, WA. He will be missed by all whom knew him, most of all by his loving wife, and family. There will be no memorial service at this
