Orvil M. Benskin, 102, of Napoleon, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 8, 2024.

Visitaion will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Walker-Hoening Mortuary (333 W. Main St.) of Napoleon from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 11am at St. John's United Church of Christ (I-946 OH 108) of Holgate. With an hour of visitation prior to the service. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Forest Hill Cemetery of Napoleon.

Memorials in Orvil's memory may be considered to Elara Caring Hospice, St. John's UCC or a charity of the donor's choice. Friends are invited to share a memory of Orvil and sign the online guestbook at www.hoeningfuneralhome.com.

Mr Benskin was the father of my classmate Deb, I remember him as a kind man and always had a smile on his face!! Much later I delivered Meals On Wheels to him, walked in the door, and there he was with that same smile I remember as a child. The heavens gained another angel

we met Orvil in 1997 at McLain state park while we were camping our youngest was 8 mo. old our 3 kids adopted him as their grandpa, we became his up-north family and have been good friends ever since we love you and will miss you.
