News Death Notice
PENCE, Orville "Ernie" Age 68 of Hamilton, passed away at home on Sunday, March 15, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on February 8, 1947 to Oliver and Bertha (Thompson) Pence. Ernie was a self-employed truck driver at E. Pence Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Susie (Little) Pence, his children Tamie (Jonathan) Peel, and Matt Pence, his grandson, Justin Peel, his siblings, Connie, Earl, Brenda, and Rae Jean, his mother-in-law, Ida Little, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clarie, Steve, David Henry, and Everett, and his parents. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10AM with Br. Ronnie Wolf of Harrison Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to any animal rescue organization or the American Cancer Society. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com

I worked for Ernie driving his trucks.It didn't matter if i broke the truck or it just broke by its self.HE would fix it and send me on my way.When i needed his help or money he was always their.The whole family is that way.Thanks so much all of u.

My mother was Mary Darling Ledford . She grew up on Layhigh Rd and was a neighbor to the Pence family. They also attended Harrison church together. She shared many fun childhood memories of their families. There is a joyous reunion in heaven with family and friends. May God comfort the family.

I knew Ernie from our earliest childhood. He was a well liked country neighbor as was his whole family of brothers and sisters. Ernie's Dad drove the Church bus that took me to Harrison for Sunday School and Church. The Pence's were a good part of my
early memories. Ernie was loved.
