Oscar Branham Obituary

CAMDEN — A memorial service for Oscar E. “Shorty” Branham, Sr. will be held Sunday, Oct. l8th, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Camden. Pastor Everett Reconnu and Rev. Ed Stokes will officiate. Visitation will follow the service.
 
Mr. Branham died Oct. 9th, 2009. He was born in Eastover, S.C., a son of Mary H. and L.T. Branham, Sr. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a former deacon.
 
He loved his church, fishing and car racing.
 
Surviving are his wife, Lilly S. Branham, son, Oscar Branham, Jr., brother, Jack Branham, sister, Annie Mae Snyder, all of Camden, and sister, Mary Alice Mills of Lugoff. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Alfred, L.T. Jr. and Bernard Branham. Mr. Branham was a donor to the gift of body program at the USC School of Medicine.
 
Memorials may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Bldg. Fund, 200 York St., Camden, or the Karesh Wing LTCC, 1315 Roberts St., Camden. A special thanks to all the staff of the Karesh Wing LTCC for the love and care given Oscar during his stay.
