Mrs Dorothy, My prayers are with you, Lee and Tim at this most difficult time in your life. I was so shocked and sad to hear of Mr. Oscar passing. I remember when I was just a teenager and I would come over your house to get my hair done and Mr. Oscar who was a very quite but pleasant man would sit in the kitchen and I would talk his head off and he would answer and smile and them continue doing whatever it was he as doing. I will always remember his beautiful smile and how he made others in his life smile. To the family remember God will give you strength in this most difficult time of your life. I love you all and me and my family are just a phone call away.

Uncle Oscar was a wonderful and influential man in my life. His strong, quiet, yet jolly nature always made me and others around him feel at ease in his presence. He and Aunt Dorothy opened their home to me and my siblings on many summer vacations and gatherings throughout the years, and they always made us and many others feel welcome and loved in their pleasant home. These past several years, his smiling face often comforted me with his resemblance to his brother Kenneth (my grandfather) and of course my father Enos (his nephew), who both had passed on before him, and I was grateful for just that little glimpse here on earth in such a caring face. Uncle Oscar will be overwhelmingly missed but I am determined to keep the abundant and cheerful memories of him in my heart.

Aunt Dorothy, Lee, and Timmy, I love you and will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,

Alicia Redd

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
