Oscar Tobar Sr.

BEN BOLT - Oscar Tobar, Sr., Ben Bolt, Texas., 74, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior March 24, 2017 after a lengthy battle of mesothelioma.

Oscar was born on February 22, 1945 in Bishop, Texas to the late Manuel M. and Maria Salinas Tobar. He worked hard most of his life as a sandblaster at T.B. Moran. During his free time, he loved the company of his family and friends and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboy games. So much so, that he could be heard cheering throughout the neighborhood.

Oscar was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and "Tata".

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Manuel, Jesus, Frank and Lupe Tobar; and sisters, Olivia Durbin, Delia and Eva Tobar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margarita Rodriguez Tobar; daughter, Dina (Rick Zamarron)Tobar; sons, Daniel (Linda) Tobar and Oscar (Violet Parra) Tobar, Jr.

He was an adored "Tata" to his grandchildren, Daniel (LeAnna Trevino) Tobar, Lorissa Tobar, Marcus Eli (Delilah) Garcia, Maricella G. (Jose) Sanchez, Alexander (Kimberlee Guerrero) Tobar, Raymond, Joseph and Liana Tobar and Mauricio R. Parra.

He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Delilah Ruiz, Aubree, Adalina and Daniella Tobar, Samuel and Benjamin Garcia, Joseph, Eleanora, Jonah and Isabella Sanchez and Amberlee Tobar. He also leaves behind a brother, Jose Tobar. He will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 29, 2019 at 4:30P.M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Ben Bolt with a holy rosary recited at 5:00 P.M. Funeral services will conclude after the rosary.
