Mr. Otto R. Harrison, 93, passed away July 23, 2015. He was born May 24, 1922 in Louisville, KY to the late William A. and Anna P. Mitzlaff Harrison. He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Eleanor C. Harrison, and by his siblings, Clarence, Charles, Alvin and Carl Harrison, and Alma Gehring. He is survived by his wife, Alta C. Harrison; his sons, Larry R. (Candy) and Stephen R. Harrison; his grandchildren, Brandon N. Harrison and Kristen H. Luken (Chris); two great grandchildren, Maxwell T. Harrison and Eleanor P. Luken; sister-in-law, Naomi Pedigo; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Harrison was a veteran of World War II, having served as an army paratrooper. He is retired from the Naval Ordnance Station, and was a member of Highview Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Baptist Hospital with special thanks to Drs. Joshua Allen and Troy Masden for their care and support. Funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home in Mount Washington (Highway 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Drive) with Reverend Dan Powell officiating. Private burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2 pm until time of service at Schoppenhorst.
