crematorium Boughton,
of Mr Peter John Wardle (47)
a life-long resident of Helmsley
Road, Rainworth. His
ashes were later buried in
the grave of his late mother,
Mrs Lucy Wardle, in Mansfield
cemetery.
Born at King's Mill Hospital,
Sutton, Mr Wardle was
educated locally at Heathfields
Primary, High Oakham Secondary
and Joseph Whittaker Secondary schools.
On leaving school at the age of 16 he began work as a
milkman with the Co-op Dairy, before going to work for
Surridge Dawson, he then went to work for B&Q as a delivery
man, and after being made redundant he became a
security guard until 2006 from where he was made redunant
again.
In his younger days he loved working with cars and motorbikes
and going Banger Racing having owned his own
Triump Stag. In later years he enjoyed being with his family,
especially spending time with his nephew, Jonathan,
playing with the remote controlled car that they shared as
after becoming ill with Parkinsons Disease he was unable
to work with cars and motorbikes.
Mr Wardle, who died at King's Mill Hospital, leaves his
father Mr Bryan Wardle of, Helmsley Road, Rainworth,
sister, Mrs Sally Borrill, two nephews, David and Jonathan
and niece Katie. He was pre-deceased by his mother,
Mrs Lucy Wardle in 2004.

Floral tributes and donations to buy equipment for the
Intensive Therapy Unit at King's Mill Hospital were received
from family and friends.
The service was conducted by the Rev B. Allsop, and arrangements
were by K. Gregory & Sons Ltd.

fond memories we had as kids pete.
you were a good friend in my school days,on the motorbikes down in the woods,hadnt seen you for years, but i often thought of you pal,oh we still have that capidimonte clock you got for mum, still ticking after 30 years..rest in peace bud my thoughts are with your family...jimmy morse.
