Pamela Bauckman Obituary

Published by Worcester Telegram & Gazette from Sep. 26 to Sep. 30, 2018.
Pamela A. (Newman) Bauckman, 56

Worcester/Northborough - Pamela A. (Newman) Bauckman passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 after a courageous battle against cancer; she was only 56 years old. Pam was born on March 24, 1962. She attended Northborough public schools, graduating in 1980 from St. Peter Marion High School in Worcester, where she was a proud member of the National Honor Society.

After graduation Pam worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years. She enjoyed perfecting her cooking skills, visiting Hampton and Cape Cod, teaching CCD and found enjoyment in watching classic TV shows and movies. She had a wonderfully sarcastic personality and could be considered lovingly stubborn by those who were lucky enough to know her. She was kind hearted and compassionate to a fault.

Pam is survived by her two sons, Kyle W. Bauckman and his wife Katie of E. Orange, NJ, and Adam M. Bauckman of Worcester; her parents, Harold and Lenora (Nicholson) Newman of Northborough; a sister, Lynda Davis and her husband Andy of Yelm, WA; her two grandchildren, Alexander and Charlotte Bauckman, both of whom she loved and adored, and her nieces and nephews. She also leaves her soulmate and companion of over 25 years, Richard J. Smalley of Worcester; a lifelong friend, Jane Barsamian of Worcester, and her extended Smalley family. She was preceded in death by her brother Christopher. She made many acquaintances and friends over the 15 years at Fortune Transport, Co. in Worcester as she worked side-by-side with Rich.

Calling hours for Pam will be Sunday, September 30th, from 3-5pm at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 1st, at 10 am, at St. Rose of Lima Parish, 244 W. Main Street, Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery.

Please consider wearing Pamela's favorite color, purple, as a way to commemorate Pamela's kind spirit and love for others.

Pam's family respectfully ask that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Rocky Ridge Refuge, P.O. Box 105, Midway, Ar. 72651 [ www.rockyridgerefuge.com ]. To leave a condolence for her family, visit Pamela's Book of Memories at

To Pam's children, to Rich, and to everyone else who loved Pam, I extend my heartfelt sympathy. I worked with Pam at Worcester Insurance for about five years and always admired her customer focus, her can do spirit and, most of all, the sparkle and positive energy that she brought to any interaction. I trust that Pam's special light will live on in your memories forever.

To Rich and Pam's family and friends, my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I met Pam when she worked for Worcester Insurance and I worked for Harleysville Insurance.
She could always make me smile--and laugh out loud more often than not.
Loved her stories about and passion for her family and friends.
She will be missed!

RIP beautiful Pammy. I'm so very sorry to all that knew her, and loved her. She was one of a kind and will be missed dearly. I will forever cherish the wonderful memories I have. Our insurance days, our NYC nights, our silly dogs, our trip to the Hamptons, our love of animals, antiques, and plain old silliness. :) The amount of laughs we had are endless. See you again one day, dearest Pam. I love you, and will miss you.
