Baumgardner, Pamela S. (Zalewski) age 64, of Jackson, MI passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti with her family by her side. She was born August 10, 1950 in Jackson to the late Dora I. (Robert DuBois) and Anthony Zalewski. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond (July 1990). Survived by her sons, Ray Jr. of Jackson, MI and Brian (Rhonda) of Columbia, S.C. Pam was employed with Jackson Public Schools at Jackson High School for over 25 years. She was also a licensed cosmetologist. Pam absolutely adored her two Shelties, Pistol, and Bullett. She was a very strong and caring person who would always offer to listen and talk with anyone in need. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Tuesday, May 12, at 12:00 P.M., Reverend Russell Davis officiating. Interment at Roseland Memorial Gardens. Ray and family,
I was so shocked to hear of Pam's passing on to glory. She will be missed greatly, esp. within the school system by the special ed. students. She was very caring, understanding, and encouraging towards them and others.
I pray God's comfort and peace be with you right now as well as in the future.
Hold on to the memories and know that she is at peace now. God be with you all.

Brian and Raymond: i am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I always loved your mom and her infectious laugh and easy smile. She was a kind and gentle soul who loved everyone. She will be greatly missed by all. My prayers are with you and your family. I'm so sorry Brian that your mom won't get to meet her grandbaby. She would have been a terrific grandma.
