Pamela Jenkins Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 14, 2024.
Pamela Louise Weiszhaar Jenkins, age 70, passed away peacefully from natural causes on October 10, 2024, in Queen Creek, AZ. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend.

Born in Grand Forks, ND to Arlouise and Oscar Weiszhaar, Pamela grew up in Moorhead, MN and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1972. Pamela met her devoted husband Brent while living in Fargo, and they have been together for over 44 years. Pam and Brent lived for many years in Fargo and at Pelican Lake, MN, before making Queen Creek their home in 2012. Over the years, their lives were filled with the joyful presence of beloved dogs, a cat, and several horses.

Pamela led a full and active life, wearing many hats and sharing her husband's entrepreneurial spirit. With her own sales and marketing company, she successfully sold products across the U.S., all while contributing to the Jenkins family farm in Erie, ND, and cultivating beautiful, productive gardens at home. She loved to travel with Brent, and her annual trips with her treasured high school friends were a testament to the deep and lasting bonds she cherished.

Known for her warmth and vibrant spirit, Pamela was the light of every gathering. Her generosity and loyalty made her a true friend to many. She took pride in hosting parties and gatherings and was an excellent cook. She left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Pam could be found snow skiing on the slopes, boating or jet skiing at the lake, cheering on the NDSU Bison, bowling or playing pinochle with friends. She was adventurous and outgoing; her lively presence and kind heart will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Pamela is survived by Brent; her half-sister, Julie Fagan (Jim); sister-in-law Joyce Weiszhaar, brother-in-law Jim Jenkins (Dorinda), five cherished nieces - Krista Weiszhaar Mathiowetz (Kyle), Shelby Jenkins, Janna Boelke (Mark), Shannon Addison (John), and Sydney Jenkins, as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Pamela was predeceased by her brother, O.J. Weiszhaar and her half-sister, Susie Folden.

Brent, I want to share a memory of Pam with you. I first met Pam in my grade school years as she was a mutual friend of Vicki Banasik in Moorhead. Vicki´s parents were good friends of my parents. I would often stay for a "slumber party" overnight at Vicki´s and Pam would come over. I just loved her spirit.
Fast forward to high school and she and I were chosen to be on the Black´s Teen Board together back in 1970-1972. I was the "teen" from Fargo North and she represented Moorhead. Each high school in the area had a senior and junior high representative. We worked in the lower level of Black´s department store where our customers were teens themselves. The clothing was high end brands which meant that any paycheck we received went to pay for the clothes we fell in love with. .
Pam was always a class act and forward thinking. I loved being around her and picking up on her vibe. We lost track of each other until social media started. Then, she joined my Chapter AU of P.E.O. and I was there when she was initiated. It was always a joy to see her.
I will forever remember her smile and how she made me feel, which was positive.
In loving memory of Pam, Cyd Runsvold

Mike and I send our love to you Brent and we share what we can of what must be deep, deep sadness. Though we were too far apart in age to have been friends when we were young neighbors in Moorhead, I did know of her then and knew her to be loved by many. I was glad to get to know Pam when the age gap didn't mean so much and am sorry we didn't connect since our move to Arizona. May your memories of Pam be a blessing and may they help you to reach a place where they outweigh the sorrow.
