Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Pam's family and Tim...we were fortunate in getting to know her here in Brunswick Forest...she was my biking buddy when they spent time at their condo here. My heart is saddened by her sudden passing...it is a great loss for all who knew her...she will long be remembered.

Dear Timmy: Our hearts are deeply saddened for your loss. We extend our condolances to Courtney, Stephanie, Sarah, and the rest of Pam's family. Pam became an instant best friend in Chapel Hill as she was to everyone. My guide dogs loved to jump on her whenever she came to the front door. They could tell a beautiful soul when they saw her… The ironic thing is she was allergic and had to quickly wash her hands and leave my house. As her only blind friend, I can truly say she was the best 'guide dog' anyone could have in the world. I loved her with all my heart and I will always hold her close in my memories. I am so lucky to have known her.

Pam was this rare combination of kindness, integrity and strength. She was so decent and honest that it would disarm people who weren't. She was quick to defend others. She was compassionate, open, fearless and uncommonly generous. I loved her spirit, and I'm so sad she's gone.

When I saw the front page of the Reporter I exclaimed, "Oh no!" Been away 14 years and was so looking forward to seeing her out and about in Marblehead. I admired her so much during those formative high school years. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith, your wonderful extended family, and all of Pam's loved ones,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies in the loss of our beautiful Pam. It was truly a gift to have met her on my dorm floor at UMaine, become her sorority sister in Tri-Delta and, very quickly, become a close friend. There are far too many extraordinary memories to capture here, but what remains indelible in my heart was Pam's capacity to be an amazing friend to everyone and, without exception, one of the top people I could laugh so hard with on just about anything (I can hear her fabulous trademark laugh right now). I have such vivid memories of spending a lot of time at your lovely home in Marblehead, your superb hospitality to all of us crazy sorority girls (and how both of you, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, were especially patient and tolerant of all of us) and, most importantly, the fact that no matter how many years had passed, that Pam and I could pick up the phone and talk as if we had just spoken yesterday. I hope all of you find comfort in the full and purposeful life Pam led, everything that she accomplished and all of those whose lives she touched beyond words can express. She will be missed so much, but I am confident that one day she will be embracing each of us with her gorgeous smile, her infectious laughter and taking us on a grant adventure in the heavens.
May God bless you, dear Pam~

My deepest sympathy to the Smith family and Tim Flynn and his family. From the time I first met Pam in the early 70's to last time I saw her with Tim she always had the same warm friendly smile and big 'hello'. she will be surely missed.

To all Pam's family and loved ones, my heartfelt sympathy. Although my memory of her is of a little girl, a friend of my sister, my mother has always reminded us over the years about how our beloved kitty, Kippy, came to us.
Apparently, Pam saw a need for the family cat, Kippy, to be "rehomed". She came to our door and said, "Mrs. Clough, can you please take Kippy?" for whatever reason - and we did. Just that little anecdote speaks to what a good heart she had. All the written tributes that have flowed in confirm that, and so very much more. Rest in peace, dear girl. It's easy to see how very sorely missed you will be and are already.

To all of Pam's family and friends, we extend our deepest sympathy and condolences for your loss and the loss of so many others that Pam would have touched, if not for a life cut short. Pam was a loving, caring and vibrant part of our life in Marblehead, for the "girls", now women, who are Stephanie's friends. Thank you Pam, for so very much. You will be truly missed.
Lovingly yours,

Condolences to the family and friends of Pam, one of the truly nicest persons I have ever met and had the privilege to know. Pam stood for everything that was positive and enlightening, and I am deeply saddened she left us so early. I was fortunate to have a friendship and business relationship with Pam (house sale and with Marblehead Sports Shop) that forged many fond memories of her. This is a tough loss for all of Marblehead and everyone Pam touched with her kindness - and there were many. RIP Pam.

To the Smith, Lane and Spillane Families and to Tim Flynn, please accept our heartfelt sympathy. Pam was the little girl across the street on Birch Street who I babysat for and who we watched grow into a beautiful woman, both inside and out! She will be sorely missed by all with whom she came in contact.
Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Dale and Glenn Yale

Pam was my first friend in Marblehead. While looking for a home, she always gave us a warm smile and a helping hand. She gave me confidence in knowing that we could someday call Marblehead home. Our prayers go out to her family. May we all feel blessed for having had her in our lives.

The Prince family is crushed. We can't even imagine how the Smith family is given their loss of such an amazing human being. Every second we spent with Pam was fun and stimulating. We could never thank Pam enough for all she did for us from camping trips to starting our business. Whatever the situation, Pam always helped with a huge smile and a contagious laugh. Pam, we will miss you, and heaven is now a better place with you it. My guess is you sped right by St. Peter at the pearly gates, and all he saw of you was a bright flash of your fabulous smile! -- the Prince Family, Nell Ivy, Ivy, Ali, Kathryn, George, Colin, and George

Dear Pam,
They say as you get older we remember your life in decades and not years. When I think of my first decade of life, the memories of US are so vivid. Losing you has brought all those precious memories to the forefront. I feel like I am reliving my childhood all over again. If we could only see the future like we do our past I would have warned you about his most horrendous accident that took you from us. I feel that many of us that are mourning your passing should in a way be a window into your life. I have many, many stories I could share with the world but your Mother might get mad at me for sharing some so I will only tell a few. I will never forget you and Libby were the ones to tell me about the facts of life as the neighborhood Dalmatian was humping me on a daily basis and finally had to go to another home. Or, how about the first time we got drunk together and we rolled down the hill on Crestwood road and got so sick we both almost died? We most definitely had a guardian angel looking over us then.
I admit, I was the Birch Street instigator who was always stirring up trouble. I loved the late nights when you, me, Sandy, Christy and Libby would all meet in my fort and eat candy at 3:00 in the morning. I was amazed when climbing down from my roof I never fell or woke up my parents and that WE NEVER GOT CAUGHT! Or how about all the four square games on our street and playing kick the can until dark with every kid on the block. We had the best childhood memories EVER. I loved sharing our JUNE 5TH BIRTHDAYS together, our Mom's always did such a great job with our joint celebration and those times will be forever cherished although I have to admit, I was always jealous you got better presents than me! Lol Remember when we played cowboys and Indians and I shot the one of the neighborhood boys and he jumped up and fell then broke his arm. That was the end of that game. We were mean to the boys as I will never forget pinning down Chipper Fitzpatrick and torturing him with kisses on the cheek on your front lawn. I know how much he hated that! Your home was the HAPPY PLACE to be always, as your mother made the most scumptious food. Every time I make a tuna fish sandwich to this day I think of your MOTHER and remember her best foods mayo with tuna on wonder bread. We spent a lot of time at that kitchen table with you and me always making fun of Charlie! Playing at Getchells park was so much fun as we could run around and play hide and seek and get lost in the woods and just be kids, wild and free! One of my fondest memories was always running with you through the woods. We loved to RUN! I awake myself sometimes in my dreams because I go back to those old days of running from boys, trouble or just plain fun!
How about the time when I went skiing and was hit by a skier and he broke my leg. You went skiing a couple of weeks later and on the phone you were telling me, “ I don't want to go skiing, I know I am going to break my leg! “ And I told you, don't be silly, you are not going to break your leg.. GO SKIING AND HAVE FUN BECAUSE I CANNOT!” Sure enough you broke your leg, then my sister Sandy broke her leg and then your sister Carol broke her leg. All in the same ski season! When our 2 families went to the Tedesco for Easter diner, we all hobbled on crutches to our table and everyone in the place thought we were playing a hoax on them. That was a time I will never, ever forget, all four of us with casts, crutches and broken legs! Once we all got over the pain of the leg breaking we certainly had many laughs over it!
Do you remember one of the funniest memories when we went to girl scout camp at Lake Winnipesauke in New Hampshire? The minute we got there we ran into the woods to discover the beauty of the trees and we got high off the pine smell. We ran far into the woods up and down the hills so excited to be in nature. We found this beautiful little church out in the middle of nowhere and not a soul anywhere to be found. We walked up the spiral staircase to the top of the steeple and found a HUGE CHURCHBELL. So excited we ran down the stairway and got to the bottom, grabbed the rope and starting ringing it. It was so much fun! We were like little monkeys swinging from the big huge rope. After around 5 minutes of ringing our ears out we then heard sirens and we peeked out the church stained glass windows and saw all these people running towards us with buckets and shovels. We thought to ourselves…” un oh, we area in BIG TROUBLE. “ So much for that camping experience. Our troop leader made us stay in our cabin in time out for the next day or so.
Pam, I know I have not been in touch with you for a very, very long time and for that I am sorry. I have not been in Marblehead for 30 years or so. I have watched you grow more and more beautiful by the year. I am so proud of you, the beautiful family you created and all your accomplishments in life. There will never be another you! Whether we like it or not, our earliest years forms who we are today and our very first friends seem as we grow older to become ETERNAL BONDS that no one, I mean no one can break. As we get older those bonds seem so much more important than the friends we meet later in life, I believe because we were forming into human beings not quite knowing who we were and what the heck we were doing. You were always worried about doing the right thing and being a good person was so important for you and that made you YOU. Very special in many ways and you touched people who crossed your path in ways only with your leaving us now people will only begin to understand. You leave a legacy behind and you will forever be remembered. Taking care of family and your health were the utmost importance to you and although your humanly earthly light has blown out, your spirit flame has never shined brighter. When I look up to the stars and see them flickering I will know you are up there twinkling down on us and someday we will meet again my best childhood friend…It will be a grand reunion. RIP Pam, thank you for the memories and thank you for being my best childhood friend!. I am sending lots of prayers to all your loved ones from Tahoe! All my love, Cassedy aka Sharon

For Pam's family and my uncle Tim, my wife Molly and I would like to express our sadness and compassion. I recall Tim's joy upon greeting Pam at a Marblehead beach a few summers ago at a Flynn family gathering. It was a simple compliment from Tim about the hardest working real estate agent in Marblehead and it was a pure expression of love, respect and pride. Molly and I are a bit like walking ghosts this week and hope to provide comfort in any way we can.

To Pam's parents, Tim, Charlie and the entire family and friends of Pam, I am just so so sorry. The thought of Pam being gone from us leaves a sadness and emptiness. I was lucky to have known Pam since elementary school, and the way she has been described by everyone herein has never changed. Her great smile, kind and warm personality and love of friends and family showed every day of her life. Our MHS 75 class will truly miss her, as well as everyone she touched. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and condolences, and those of the many students who Pam taught in Durham, NC. Over the past year, after training with the local literacy center, Pam and I co-taught two classes of wonderful, hard-working adult Hispanic students at El Centro Hispano. Every week Pam brought skill, thoughtful planning, boundless enthusiasm, and good cheer to our teaching task. She was loved by all, including me. I cannot imagine teaching with another co-teacher I will enjoy as much. She gave an immeasurable amount to those around her. May her loving example continue to enrich all of our lives. I weep for your loss.

I am crushed by this news... Our paths and families have crossed over the past fifty years. Great memories of family gatherings around the Beach Club. A true Header, she loved this town. And truly enjoyed chiding me at Tedesco dancing school for playing on the wrong town's teams... She made a point to welcome me when I made Marblehead my home. Always more than pleasant and professional in all our dealings. Always made good on her word. Big smile and a wave when we saw each other, no matter if it was yesterday or a few months since we last saw one another. She exuded all the character traits we wish to instill in our children. I will miss her, but remember fondly. Thoughts and prayers to you from me, my mother, and the rest of the Reiley family.

Dear Smiths and Lanes, and Tim, words can not express how sorry I am. Memories of happy times will help, I spent the weekend looking at many photos of our family adventures, and smiling. Lots of hugs to you all.

To Stephanie, to Tim Flynn, to the Smith, Lane, and Spillane Families, We are heartbroken for you, and for our town, the town that Pam adored. For Dana, Pam and the Smiths were his childhood on Birch Street. For me, it was the Beach Club, Tedesco, MHS Hockey, and holidays during college. Later, all of those years of Mr. Haggetts and dance shows with our daughters, and trips to Walt Disney World. Pam was beautiful, steadfast, loving and loyal. We thought she would live forever or at least age sweetly and slowly, but it was not to be. To you all, find peace in knowing that Pam loved well, and was so dearly well loved in return. Love, Merry and Dana Tufts
