Pamela MOORE Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 14, 2019.
Pamela Moore was born December 28, 1958 in Houston, Texas to loving parents B.R. Lewis and Minnie Pearl. She was the special one of three children. Pam was employed by Metro Transit Authority for 35 years in the Scheduling Department as a Schedule Analyst, and graduated from M.B. Smiley High School class of 1977.
Pam was baptized at New Macedonia Baptist Church of Houston, Texas where she professed her life to Christ at an early age. Later on in life Pam united with Fontaine First Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend J. H. Brown. In 2013, Pam united with Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor T.K. Anderson. She served as an Usher, and completed the Sunday School Leadership Training Program. She loved God with her whole heart.
Pam was known for her sense of humor and contagious laugh. She was unafraid to let her personality shine. An avid card player, Pamela loved playing Bid Whist. Not many things could replace this scheduled activity. She was also good at spades, but nothing brought her joy like her monthly 4th Saturday Bid Whist Tournament. With The Trump Tight team she and her partner were known for getting Bostons often. She greeted everyone with a smile and worked hard to leave everyone with a smile. She was an inspirational friend who loved to laugh out loud and live life to the fullest.
Two interesting facts, Pam was a passionate community youth sports team mom and her biggest regret was not becoming an Air Traffic Controller. Family was important to Pam. She implemented the 2nd Sunday Family Day Gathering. This allowed family to consistently come together, enjoy each other's company, as well as make and share past memories. The Sunday dinners became even more special as her health began to wane.
Pam leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted daughter, Britni Rose (Gerron); affectionate son, Jarius Moore Sr. (Zajee); sister, Beverly Ann Asberry; brother, John Lewis (Shnell); grandsons who she affectionately refers to as Nana's Babies, Jarius Deron Moore Jr. and Jonas David Moore; Aunt Dorothy Scott, and Uncle Robert James Scott (Alice) all of Houston, Tx; A favorite niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Pam's father, B. R. Lewis and mother, Minnie Pearl Lewis, preceded her in death.

Pam, I will truly miss your smile. My fondest memory of Pam was singing in the choir we would be singing our on songs and laughing while we were singing. I will also miss the good times at Madear's house on sundays. I will remember those lesson in Sunday school she taught as well as the retreats she spoke at, she really loved her some Jesus. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family you had a beautiful mother.

To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. I had the joy of speaking with Ms. Pamela weekly when we would contact her from Harris County Constable Precinct 3's RUOk? program. She was always cheerful and encouraging. While we had never met face to face, we had prayed together many times for God's grace and mercy to be with her and the family. I will continue to lift the loved ones in prayers.

I had the privilege to work with Pam and a team of great individuals for over 20 years. We loved our jobs and functioned as a close family. Pam was a unique member of that family. She had a big and soft heart and outgoing personality. I will miss Pam and her sense of humor. I will cherish the memories and the good times we had. My sincere condolences to her family. May God help them to cope with their loss.

Pam was a boisterous and outgoing individual. She wore her emotions on her sleeve and held nothing back. Fortunately for many, among the things that she did not hold back was her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus. She shared her faith with many and as a result she will have a joyful homecoming.
