GREENSBORO — Pamela Anne Turner passed away on May 19, 2009 at her residence.
A memorial service will held on Friday, May 22, 2009 at Grace Community Church, 643 W. Lee Street at 11 a.m. with Elder Jack Kody officiating.
Pam's greatest joy was watching children grow and develop. She had a capacity to love that was far reaching in many places where she touched lives.
Anyone who knew Pam instantly knew how she loved people and truly accepted them as they were. In recent years she developed a love for the people of the Dominican Republic and dreamed of returning there someday where her daughter serves the Lord with YWAM. She recently returned from a trip to Spain where she and her two children shared a special time seeing the sites where her son has been teaching for the past year.
Pam worked as a pre-school teacher at Christ United Methodist Church Center for Enrichment where over the years she has loved hundreds of children. She also worked at the Carolina Theatre where she loved serving popcorn to all who entered the doors.
To her family, she was a source of strength and taught all she met what it meant to love unconditionally. Heaven received an angel and earth lost a dear sweet spirit.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Jack Turner, who she is now reunited with great celebration. Pam is survived by her son, Bryce Richardson of Palencia, Spain and daughter Kirsten Richardson of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic; her mother, Elsie Turner of Greensboro; brothers, Bill Turner of Hopkins, S.C., and Jay Turner and wife Connie of Greensboro; and nieces, Mollie and Ashley Turner of Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one of the following: YWAM DR-Launch Pad Project, PO Box 3000. Garden Valley, TX 75771-300 or to The Carolina Theatre, 301 S. Greene St., Greensboro, N.C. 27401 in Pam's honor.

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of Miss Pam. She was truly a wonderful person who had a genuine love for all, especially children. She always had a smile and hug for every child that she encountered. We were all blessed to have known her and have her in our lives. We will miss our Miss Pam.

We are saddened to hear of Pam's passing. Laura had a wonderful year in Pam's class at CEC, and we enjoyed seeing Pam from time to time at General Greene as well. We are keeping her family in our thoughts and prayers.

Just heard the sad news. I went to high school with Pam. We were all part of a group that hung out for many years, long after high school. I would run into to Pam over the years after we lost touch and she was always the same, full of joy and smiles. Please know Pam will be sorely missed.

Words cannot express how deeply saddened my family was to learn of Ms. Pam's passing. The world will not be the same without her smiling face and warm heart. We had the privilege of getting to know Ms. Pam through the CEC. She also took amazing care of our daughter, Kaiden, after school while I worked. We know Kaiden will be a better person for having Ms. Pam in her life. Never again will we see an image of Mickey Mouse and not think about our dear Ms. Pam.
Our hearts and prayers go out to her family.

We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Miss Pam's sudden passing. Our hearts and prayers go out to her children and family during this difficult time. My daughter is in Miss Pam's most current preschool class and we have been very blessed to have had her loving influence for this past year. She always had a smile on her face for me and my daughter and I always heard so many stories about all the funny things Miss Pam did when my daughter came home from preschool. She will be truly missed by so many. She touched so many little lives during her many years at CEC and I am so grateful my daughter got to experience her unconditional love for her students and her warm spirit.

The concession stand at The Carolina Theatre will not be the same. I worked with Pam for 3 years and we had a lot of fun behind the counter!!!! I miss those times since I moved. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

I am so sorry to learn of Pam's passing. I clogged with Pam many years ago with Green Hill Cloggers. (It seems like yesterday!) What a great girl. I saw Pam at the Carolina about a year ago and was so glad to get to catch up with her. I'm sure she'll be missed by many! Your family will be in my prayers.

I was very sorry to hear about Pam's passing, even though I've never had the pleasure of meeting her. I only knew her and her children through Billy, her ex-husband, but I feel like she was a very special person that was very close to her family. I am very sorry for your loss. I will be praying for your family and have requested prayer from my church family for you all as well.

This news makes me so sad today. I worked with Pam at Wright of Thomasville. She was a gifted, creative, fun loving person. We still carry on several traditions here that she shared with us. I have cards that she made for me that still hang on my Christmas Tree every year. I saw her a couple of years ago at the Carolina Theatre and she looked great. I remember Bryce and Kristen when they were small and you could tell they were her pride and joy.
My thoughts are with you, she was one of the most wonderful people that I have known.

We are so troubled by Pam's passing. She is constantly on our hearts and minds. She was such a special person and we were privileged to have known her and worked with her over the years. She definitely was a true friend and a blessing to all who knew her. She will surely be missed but we pray that you family members will look to our Lord for comfort and let Him wrap His arms of love around you and keep you in His care. We truly serve an awesome God and He will get you through this difficult time. As we look back, we see so many things that have fallen into place leading up to this occasion, not by chance, but by God's leading. Please know that we love you very much and offer our continued support.
With love,
Gail & Larry

What a sadness we all feel for not having Miss Pam with us. We know she is in heaven tending to others. We were blessed both girls had her in the wonderful two year old room. She always had a hello and smile for them. On Sunday the girls wanted to show Miss Pam their recital costumes at the Carolina Theater. We love you Miss Pam.

It is with such a heavy heart that we send our deepest condolences. Both of our children were lucky enough to spend a year growing with Ms Pam. We loved her because she so openly loved them. Never forgot a name of a child and they always felt special with her. We are so saddened and pray for you all to be comforted by her legacy of love.
