Pamela Vigil-Wong Obituary
Pam was born on January 24, 1959, and grew up in Nambé and Peñasco, graduating from Peñasco High School in 1977. She married Corey Wong at St. Anthony's Church in 1984. Pam worked at the Whites Store in Peñasco; USDA in Washington, DC; the New Mexico State Land Office in Santa Fe; the Centinel Bank of Taos; the Carson National Forest; and Mable Dodge Luhan House in Taos. With the family's Forest Service moves, Pam raised their two girls and worked at the Idaho Springs (Colorado) Public Library, the Grand Canyon Railway, the Delta County School District, and St. Michael's Catholic Church.
She was the ultimate helper, always willing to lend a hand, say a prayer, or offer support to anyone in her community. She was a devout Catholic and was a faithful and dedicated member of the local congregation; she took communion to home-bound parishioners, trained lectors and eucharistic ministers, and was often the first face that people saw when they came in for mass.
Pam loved spending time with her three grandchildren and read them too many books to count on her many visits. She enjoyed watching the Colorado Rockies, eating watermelon, and finding the perfect gift for her loved ones. She was happiest when she was at the home she adorned, among her family.
Pam was a devoted and thoughtful presence to those in her life - as a wife, mother, sister, and friend. She wanted to be remembered as being good and kind, and she will live on in all of our memories as such.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Gilbert Vigil, and is survived by her husband, Corey; two daughters, Anica (Ivan) and Pilar (Cyrus); three grandchildren, Hugo, Elena, and Adele; two sisters, Yolanda (James, Sierra, and Nieves) and Sylvia; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at St. Michael's Church. Donations can be made in Pam's memory to St. Michael's Youth Group, 628 Meeker Street, Delta, CO 81416, or via everloved.com/life-of/pamela-vigil-wong

Corey and beautiful daughters. Don and I are very sad to learn of Pam's passing. We remember interacting with you when the girls were in high school - maybe engaged in cross country where I coached and track & field where Don officiated. I totally agree with that Pam is remembered by us as being kind and supportive. We wish you comfort at this time.
