Parker "PD" Kiser Jr.

Mr. Parker "PD" Kiser, Jr., 93, of Mebane passed away at Hospice Home on Friday, August 16, 2019.

A native of Cabarrus County, he was the husband of 72 years to Dottie Gilmore Kiser, who survives and the son of Parker Davis and Flonnie Honeycutt, both deceased. Mr. Kiser was a WWII veteran, serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a founding member of the Alamance County War Memorial in Graham. Mr. Kiser was a retired barber and a member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include his children, Frieda Gregory, Pete Kiser and wife Sherry and Judy Harris and husband Robbie; six grandchildren, Davis Gregory, Melissa Long, Parker Kiser, IV, Wesley Kiser, Zachary Harris and Jacob Harris; eight great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Temperance Montgomery, Blanche Moore, Bertha Simpson, Geraldine Walker and Sam Kiser. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, William "Bill" Gregory; a great-grandchild, Braelyn Harris and one sister, Virginia Smith.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Bennie Smith. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 12:15 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the service. Other times the family will be at the home of Judy Harris, 975 Cooks Mill Rd., Mebane, NC 27302.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Hospice for all the wonderful care given to Mr. Kiser.
