Pasqualino (Lino) Geremia, beloved husband of Rosalba Geremia of Calgary, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the age of 79 years. Lino immigrated to Canada in 1955 and made his way to Calgary where he worked hard to provide for his family. He spent his career in the construction industry and through his perseverance, founded Lino Geremia & Sons Construction. He was proud to work with his sons during the twenty years his company operated, finally retiring in 1994. Lino enjoyed his moment's playing cards with his friends and family. He also enjoyed his hobby farm of chickens, rabbits, turkeys and his grade "A" tomatoes. Besides his loving wife of fifty-one years, Lino is survived by their four sons and two daughters-in-law, Massimo Geremia, Elio and Tracey Geremia, Bruno Geremia, and Danny and Traci Geremia; Sherry Geremia, Carole Ann Erickson and Jacqueline Geremia; eleven grandchildren, Tianna, Melina, Kathleen, Morgan, Mikaela, Terryn, Elise, Isabella, Annalise, Felicity, and Matthew. He is also survived by a brother and two sisters-in-law, Joe and Carol Geremia and Ann Geremia and their families, all of Calgary; a brother and three sisters and their families, all of Italy. Lino was predeceased by his parents Maria and Aurelio Geremia; a brother Urbano Geremia of Calgary; and three sisters in Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer (formerly Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church) (1714 - 14 Avenue N.E.) on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum.
