The cause was breast cancer, Amber Hennessey, a friend and neighbor, said.
Patsy Lou Blake was born in Fort Worth, Tex., on Jan. 15, 1933. She started modeling as a teenager and was 17 when she moved to Los Angeles to act. Producers there persuaded her to change her name to Patricia Blair, because, they said, it sounded more sophisticated.
Her first movie was “Jump Into Hell” (1955), about the battle of Dien Bien Phu in French Indochina. She appeared in the horror film “The Black Sleep” (1956), which starred Bela Lugosi and Lon Chaney Jr., and the 1959 film “City of Fear” before turning to television. Her last role was in the 1979 Robert Redford-Jane Fonda movie “The Electric Horseman.”
Her best known role was as Rebecca Boone, Daniel’s wife, in the six-year run of “Daniel Boone” on NBC beginning in 1964.

Very beautiful lady even as a child I had a crush on ( Lou ) the pretty lady on the rifleman show. I always wondered what the heck was wrong with Lukas not romancing her and marrying up with the pretty lady that we all knew she was very fond of him.

She played the wife of Daniel Boone, Fess Parker who was a hero of mine. I enjoyed her acting and her support of Fess. She brought to life a different portrayal of the backwoods wives so pictured with hardened faces due to hard living. She was beautiful and charming.

I just watched episodes of the rifleman with Patricia Blair I loved her spunk. I am also a redhead. Well im 65 so i color it now. She was so beautiful. I didnt know she passed away. Patricia was a wonderful actress. I also watched Daniel Boone. Back in those days westerns and family shows were what families watched together as there were only about 5 channels to watch. My sister and i had crushes on Lucas. Then all of s sudden Mark grew up. Thank metv for all the memories.

I met her while working at Aaron Brothers in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive in 1979. She was just as gracious as she was still a beautiful woman, very sweet and kind. I'm sad to hear of her passing.

She was the epitome of a beautiful Irish girl, ever youthful, sweet and the charming. Warm and cute she was so unique. Grew up watching her on Daniel Boone Show. Fess Parker and Ed Ames had my heart. They were my fathers age but what beautiful people and a great series. She gave the show value and quality. So sad that I never got to meet her.
