I first met Patricia, my neighbor for last 20 years at a dinner party hosted by Jackie Raynal that I attended with my late husband Leandro( Gato) Barbieri. Our friendship developed slowly and became an enormous gift after my husband died in 2016. She hired me to work with her twin Ellen.We did aquatic physical therapy together. Our many phone conversations were always inspiring to me. We chatted about her professional life, our families, working in school system and the memoir she worked on timelessly . Her quick wit, and delivery was top notch. She loved her siblings and parents deeply and missed her siblings after they transitioned. Her supportive words came by way of her thorough listening skills. She was honest in her replies and I often reflected days after we spoke. In the last couple of years, she missed being as physically active as in her youth and years past. She adored her Caribbean trips to see her brother and to Ct. I recall the last plan to take her nephew to a Yankees game with his friends but reluctantly cancelled due to possible in climate weather.
I still can´t believe that we will not see each other in our lobby where we would share our latest museum exhibit and film adventures.
. My only son, Christian, and I extend our heartfelt condolences to her family , friends and former colleagues.

I´d known and adored Patricia since childhood but we´d lost contact during the last few years. I´m stunned and heartsick to learn of her passing. Patricia´s intelligence, rock-solid moral core, wickedly delicious sense of humor and warm heart will be always remembered and deeply missed.
