Patricia Ann Caloon

GREENFIELD - Patricia Ann (Joyal) Caloon, 83, died on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on December 1, 1931 in Bristol, CT and was raised in Montpelier, VT.
She attended St. Bernard's Parish School, and received a scholarship to Trinity College in Burlington, VT, graduating in 1953. In 1955, Patricia married John Caloon, and they moved to Chicago where he attended school for dentistry. While there, Pat taught music at St. Bernard's School and worked for the Blue Cross, before moving to Greenfield, MA.
For many years, Pat taught music at Pioneer Valley Regional School, and also gave lessons out of her home. Her love for teaching youth was a lifelong ministry.
Pat was an active member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Greenfield where she served as organist and member of the church choir, and most recently, at Our Lady of Peace Church in Turners Falls.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dr. John Caloon, and five sons; John "Greg" (June), Stephan (Marcia), Anthony, Mark (Deb), and Peter (Ann), 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services for Pat will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of one's choice in her memory would be appreciated.
