Patricia Lynn Campbell

Patricia Lynn Simoneaux Campbell, passed away surrounded by her family on September 19, 2016 at the age of 65. She was born on July 4th, 1951 in Baton Rouge and was a 1969 graduate of St. Joseph Academy. Patti, as she was more affectionately known, cherished her family and friends and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was an excellent athlete, a life-long bowler and avid sports fan, especially watching activities in which her children or grandchildren were involved. Patti started her career working at the Department of Agriculture and went on to work at Frourrier Insurance Agency for a number of years. She retired as the bookkeeper of St. Michael the Archangel High School in 2014 and most recently worked at a CPA office. Along with these jobs, Patti always worked additional jobs, most notably with bowling centers. She was always one to work and play hard, never passing up an opportunity to enjoy a good time and laugh at a good joke. She is preceded in death by her father, Louis P. Simoneaux, Jr., and her mother, Beverly Landry Simoneaux. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Jill and Jason Lamberth, Matthew and Rebecca Campbell, and Wade and Joanna Campbell; her brothers, Louis Paul III "Doody" and Rusty Simoneaux; sisters, Linda Thibodeaux and Dottie Monistere; 7 grandchildren, Morgan Lamberth, Jude Lamberth, Maxwell Lamberth, Luke Campbell, Blake Campbell, Brielle Campbell, and Betsy Campbell, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Patti was known for her feisty but fun personality, as well as her ability to get things done by always working hard. She will be truly missed by all those who knew her. The family wishes to thank all those who were there for her during her struggle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Resthaven Garden of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Resthaven from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1PM at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
