Patricia Ann Coniglio

Patricia Ann Sherlock Coniglio passed away at home in Monterey on February 7th. She began her life's journey on Ramona Street in Monterey with her mother, Audrey Graham, father, Charles Sherlock, sister Geraldine (Verga), and later, stepfather Harry Wasson. She attended local schools and, after high school graduation, began exploring life. Pat first worked in San Francisco, then it was off to New York City where she took a job at Time Magazine organizing bulletin boards of submissions from local artists, a delightful skill she continued to use at home for many years. She lived briefly on the east coast and in the south, then moved back to San Francisco before returning permanently to the Monterey Peninsula, where she enjoyed a successful career as a legal secretary. Pat raised 6 girls for nearly two decades and enjoyed family life and creating an atmosphere at home full of fun and humor. She spent many hours with family and friends planning parties and events. She was fortunate to have a group of very close friends from 2nd grade who kept in touch all her life. Pat enjoyed trying new things on a whim and spared no effort in helping others, volunteering for numerous local organizations: Pink Ladies at CHOMP, Monterey History & Art, Community Partnership for Youth, and Suicide Prevention Services. Pat also served as Vice President of the Monterey Blues Festival. Pat is well known for owning and operating the Patricia Coniglio Personnel Agency for 23 years in Monterey. Pat is survived by her daughter and stepdaughters, grandchildren, and cats. The family is grateful for the kind caregivers who surrounded her with love and support this past year. Truly one of a kind, Pat will be deary missed.
