Patti was my friend for so many years, having met when she took over for me in a legal office downtown. We remained close friends forever . . . I loved her like a sister and even though we didn't see each other as often as we wished, she was always on my mind. She was beautiful, kind, extremely intelligent and always a friend to so many. I miss her terribly. Love you, Patti.

I met Patti several years ago as a regular patron at Longhorn. She and I quickly became friends. She is truely one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I have ever met, Patti cared about so many others and brought so much JOY. I feel blessed to have known her and spent time with her. Patti, you will be missed

Patti work at the olde BGHS building on Main St. I met her my first day in 1st Grade in 1952. I ran into her occasionally over the years and last saw her at my Mother's funeral. She was always so nice. She will be missed by many.

Patti was friend and Beech Grove classmate of mine-class of 1955.she always was such a kind and caring person. She and I also shared so many stories about the Indianapolis Colts, especially about Peyton Manning when he was leaving..she always would send me emails so we both could keep up and then when our classmates would meet each month for lunch, she couldn't wait for us to be able to discuss what I thought. Will miss all of our conversations we have had over the years..so blessed to have her in my life as a friend. Everyone loved Patti and I loved her too..

I joined the choir under Patti's direction at Edgewood United Methodist Church shortly after Patti became the Director of Music Ministry (organist and choir director). I loved her gorgeous music and shared her musical taste. I was privileged to serve as her assistant in the choir, but most of all I enjoyed spending time with Patti and going to several dinner theatre performances with her. I loved her like a sister - and she was my sister in Christ.

Patti and I worked together at Total Response, Inc. She trained me on the applications and procedures of handling payments we received for several accounts. Patti was kind and gracious, with a great sense of humor. I attended a Sunday service at Edgewood UMC once, when she played for a special program, about ten or so years ago. Patti had a gentle spirit and will be greatly missed. I pray that all who knew and loved Patti will be comforted in knowing she is now with our Lord. May you find peace in the sweet memories you cherish of her.
Rest in Peace, Patti. Darlene Ingram (New Albany, IN)

Went to school with Patti, was in Jobs Daughters with her. I enjoyed her musical talent and her love of books. I'm sure she will be sorely missed by many. My prayers to the family. Jacki Van Brunt Davis (Indy)

Patti was an angel. Had the sweetest smile. We enjoyed talking of (ole times) when we were younger and how things have changed. We had such wonderful times at Ed and Sharrons cookouts and any celebration we could invent. Patti will sure be misses a lot but know your in a much better place. Your time to rest with no more pain.

Met Patti when she played for the B.G. Senior Center Choir. She could make that keyboard talk. Loved her arrangements for us to sing. Lots of fun with her helping us. I'm so sorry I didn't know that she was at Altenheim until too late to visit her. We'll meet again in The Great Choir in Heaven.

Patti and I were classmates throughout gradeschool and highschool and have remained friends all these many years. She and I shared a lot of wonderful music memories throughout our lifetime together. She loved to watch Phipps Gospel Sing on Saturday nights when my husband Bob Silvers co-hosted the show and then would call us or send an e-mail. She visited our concerts many times. In recent years we discovered my grandaughter married one of her favorite church friends, grandson. Small world. Patti will always be in our "good memories" book. She was a true christian and wonderful friend. "We'll see you on the other side Patti!" Joyce Silvers

Patti has been an amazing friend for over 30 years. The picture chosen is so appropriate because she was always such a beautiful lady. We spent so many times together, eating and talking, talking and eating, drinking iced tea . . . so many wonderful memories. It will be difficult for me to go to the Olive Garden without her! The food may be good, but the company was so much better. Loving thoughts will always be with her. I know she is singing to God right now!

Patti was a good, caring person. She was outgoing and friendly to everyone she met. She was a very talented musician and was dedicated to serving God with her music. As a member of the choir at Edgewood UMC, I got pretty close to Patti, and she encouraged me to stick with it! I, like many others appreciated Patti's "prayer chain emails" which she faithfully sent to anyone who wanted to receive them. This was a special ministry which we miss already!! Though we all shall miss Patti, we know that she is with her Lord and Savior, and that she is no longer in pain. Praise the Lord!! Patti, may you rest in peace now that your work here on earth is finished. - With Love and Thanksgiving, - Gloria and Bill Wheeler

Shortly after moving to Indianapolis, Patti became a wonderful mentor to me in my administrative assistant profession. She soon became a wonderful friend and confidante. I am a better person for knowing her and hold many cherished memories of our friendship. I am so sad to lose her sense of humor and model as a sister in Christ, but am grateful that she no longer suffers with her earthly body.

Dear Aunt Patti
Jim and I are so glad we traveled to Indianapolis a few years ago and had the joy of seeing you again. It was fun when we visited you – you played the piano for the seniors at the center, played at Church and directed music at church.
Life is temporary – our permanent home is with Jesus. Right now you are tap dancing in Heaven and I bet you are bossing around all the choirs up there. God will say OPEN those gates wide – here comes Patti!
My sister Pat Kohan is in Heaven – you can sing with her – she is a singing fool and I can hear her Blues Songs every day in my head, she is shouting in Heaven and she will be the one you will have to tell often, Pat blend in, you are not the solo on every song – and she will calm down an hour to two then will get loud and excited again.
Heaven will have their hands full with you but God was expecting you and He has your home ready – he's known for a while you were coming and He is excited to have you.
You worked long and hard in your years on earth and now it's time to join the Heavenly Choirs and sing with the Angels.
My grandma always said, ‘Doris, it is better to rust out than to burn out'. You and I live that life – we are all used up and when we leave these bodies they will be used up and worn out – like an old comfy shoe – when it is time to leave that shoe behind it is hard – it is hard to let go of the comfy old things but there is a time for everything and this is your time to embrace Jesus.
The trip to Heaven was a blink for you – we are left behind mourning your passing but you are in Heaven telling us to stop fretting and get on with our work. The Lord is smiling on you and He is comforting you.
Sorry we cannot be there for your Celebration of Life, but know we love you and I know you gave it your all – now it's time to take off the comfy shoe and roam about Heaven where you will walk on streets of gold and be dazzled by the Heavenly Voices and for the first time you will be singing with the Angels.
God bless you my dear Aunt Patti – hugs and hugs to you and be sure to hug my sister Pat as I miss her so very much – love you, Doris and Jim too in Napa!

Patty was such a sweet lady. She would come in to Ponderosa twice a week. I was the manager there and we would always talk about dancing with the stars and talk about authors of books she would bring in to read. Love you Patty. You will be truly missed.
