ELLIOT, Mrs. Patricia A. "Pat"
Of Galesburg

Pat was surrounded by her loved ones as the Lord peacefully took her into his choir of angels, Monday evening, July 28, 2003. Pat was born April 22, 1947 in South Haven, the daughter of David Jr. and Julia (Rupczyinski) Rigozzi. She was a woman of many talents and gifts. She shared a beautiful singing voice at St. Ann's Church for 34 years. Pat enjoyed cake decorating, whether it was the simplest birthday cake, or an ornate, 6-tier wedding cake. She selflessly cared for all family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. She was the ultimate Galesburg-Augusta Ram and Hackett Catholic Central Fighting Irish fan, often cheering on the entire team as she did her own children. Pat served on many boards, committees, and forums, making her church, community, and workplace better for future generations. She endlessly providing many services to her residential family at River Manor for 15 years. Pat was a devoted wife to Leonard for 33 years, whom she married September 5, 1970. She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. Pat was the best Mom ever to her children, always taking the friends of her children under her wing. She was a Grandmother who thoroughly enjoyed playing with, reading to, and spending much time with her special guy and five little angels. Surviving besides her husband, Leonard are 4 children, Becky (Rick) Bil, Abby (Chris) Mathews, all of Kalamazoo, Anna (Patrick) Walls of Richland, David Elliot of Galesburg; 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel, Ruth, Audrey, Maria, and Julia; her parents, David Jr. (Julia) Rigozzi of Bangor; sisters and brother, Susan (Al) Reading of Kalamazoo, Mary (Bob) Phillips of Kentwood, David III (Shirley) Rigozzi of Bangor; 3 nephews and a niece; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 o'clock Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church, 12648 E. D Ave. with Fr. Mark Vyverman and Fr. Bill Jacobs, Celebrants. Friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Hoag-Switzer Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., where a Rosary will be recited at 4:45 p.m. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery at a later date. The family requests memorials be directed to an Educational Fund for the grandchildren. www.langelands.com
