Patricia J. Goulet, 85, of Iron Mountain, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at Manorcare Health Services in Kingsford. Pat was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Albert and Louise (Johnston) Goulet. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1942 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Pat worked for Michigan Governor G. Mennen "Soapy" Williams for a short period of time. She began her career with Michigan Bell where she was employed for 30 years, retiring as evening supervisor. Pat was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Church and the Michigan Bell Pioneers, where she served as past president. Pat was a great photographer and enjoyed taking scenic pictures. In her earlier years, Pat was an avid bowler. She loved to travel throughout the U.S., Germany, Italy and Austria. Pat enjoyed plastic canvas needlework, making broomstick afghans, and volunteering at the Carmelite Monastery. Pat is survived by a sister, Rita Monroe of Detroit; many nieces and nephews; dear friends and caregivers, Gert Koller, Marshall and Phyllis Kesler, Jan and Bob Fredy and Cathy and Steve Schoen; and special friends, Kathy, Sharon, John, Joyce, Debbie, Pauline, Blanche, Donna, Marsha, Veronica, Janet, Mary Beth and Bruce. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Goulet and a sister, Kathryn Goulet. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Fr. Daniel Zaloga and Fr. Paul Nomellini will con-celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carmelite Monastery or St. Mary and St. Joseph Church. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Manorcare HCR for their tender, loving care during Pat's last two months. Condolences to the family of Patricia J.
