Patricia HARPER McLAUGHLIN Obituary
April 6, 1968 - December 24, 2013
Suddenly at home with her beloved husband Trevor McLaughlin at her side, Patricia left us after struggling with diabetes for 35 years. Born in Montreal, daughter of the late Bill Harper and Marion Harper Hicks, dear baby sister to Heather (Lea Boswell) and favorite auntie to nephews Max and Billy. Cousins Beth Davies (John Fala) Pennsylvania, Susan Davies and Allison Davies, New York, Jim Davies and Kate Dorgan Davies and their new baby Adelaide, Virginia USA. Also survived by her aunt Marge Oliver of San Antonio, Marnie Oliver (Bob Lipa) and their daughters Elizabeth and Katherine, Australia and Scott Oliver and his son Matthew, San Antonio. Uncle Bob Harper (Gerry) Calgary, cousins Jennifer and Kate. Trisha will be missed by her dear friends from her childhood in Barrhaven, school friends from Confederation and Hillcrest High Schools, best friends Brenda, Caroline, Cora and Margaret, friends from the cottage community at White Lake where she & Trevor enjoyed a beautiful summer this past year along with her sweet pug Austin. Patricia brought laughter and joy to the lives of all who knew her with her amazing sense of humour and her positive outlook on life. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. After a private family funeral there will be a Celebration of her Life at a future date to be announced. Messages may be posted to memorial page: www.facebook.com/ rememberingtrishaharpermclaughlin. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Kidney Foundation would be deeply appreciated.

We have so many memories of Trish. Her smile and laughter. Her humour. Her love of friends and family. Trevor and family, we feel your loss. Obviously not as keenly, but she has left a tremendous hole in our lives. Our memories of her will last forever and we will always share them with you.

A truly wonderful cousin, so loving and funny, so pretty too. We have many happy childhood memories growing up over family visits at grandma's house in Petrolia, summers in Bar Haven, the cottage in Algonqin, and a Christmas or two Bucks County, PA.
We will miss Trish's warm and generous spirit very much.

I have so many sweet memories of my dear dear friend Trish. She was so much apart of my life for so many years in Ottawa - Camp Banting where we first met, so many trips, parties, camping, and just hanging out together - she was like family to me!
