AMESBURY — Patricia B. (Herman) Kimball, 78, of Amesbury, died peacefully early Thursday morning, Dec. 10, 2009 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Amesbury after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Kimball, who died April 13, 1993.
Born in Boston, July 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Harris) Herman and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1947. She also attended the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
After raising her family, Patricia worked for more than 25 years.as a housekeeper for St. Joseph's (Holy Family).Church in Amesbury. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, music, vacations at Cape Cod and was extremely proud of her Irish heritage.. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding "down.The Valley".and oil painting..
Her survivors include her five children, Neal F. Kimball and wife Elaine of Salisbury; Joann Dulong and companion Richard Gilmore of Hampton, N.H., Shawn M. Kimball of Dover, N.H., Scott B. Kimball and wife Angela of Salisbury, and Derek T. Kimball and wife Johanna of Amesbury; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; her sister, Martha Lambert of East Kingston, N.H.; her brother, William Herman of Amesbury; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very dearly.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury, will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. Private funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
