Patricia Ruth (Clark) McFarland, age 78, of Azle, Texas, passed away on February 2, 2024. She was born on January 3rd, 1946, in Denison, Texas.

Patricia, known as the "fun aunt", had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her friendly and caring nature. She had a passion for fishing and crocheting and taking care of the neighborhood cats.
While in Denison, she was active in Lamar Elementary's PTA and sung in the choir at Trinity UMC. After moving to Irving, she sang in the choir at FUMC Irving and started working as the cook at the church's daycare and worked there close to 20 years finishing as a teacher of the two year old class. From there, she worked at Allison's Playhouse then retired in Azle Tx. All her life she loved cooking and baking for others, always trying out new recipes. She made sure all her kids had their favorites for birthdays and holidays and always enjoyed hiding Easter candy for her grown (adult) kids and grandson Quintin. She always made sure everyone in the family was taken care of.
Her kind and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, John L. McFarland, her daughter Jennifer Norsworthy (James), her sons John E. McFarland (George) and Patrick (Claudia), and her grandson Quintin Norsworthy. Patricia is also survived by her sisters-in-law Kay Clark, Lisa Robinson, Lauren Smith, brother-in-law Butch Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews. She cherished her lifelong friendship with Mary Fritts, whom she had known since they were babies and continued writing letters to each other weekly.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father Wil Clark, mother Gladys Ruth Robinson, stepfather Gus Robinson, brothers Ben and Willie Clark, Tom Robinson, and sister Mary Schwartz. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Eisenhower State Park - Group Recreation Hall, Saturday, March 23, 2024. at noon. The family has asked that you wear purple her favorite color.
Dress is casual.

Johnny , I am terribly sorry to read this story so late. I lost my Mary after 48 years of being married to her on Jan. 26, 2024.
