Patricia Moberger Obituary
Born in Methuen, MA on March 2, 1955 to Thomas F. and Elizabeth (Wood) McNally, Patty spent childhood in Salem, NH and graduated from Salem High School in 1973. She received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Plymouth State College in 1977, and received her master’s degree in computer science from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 1985. Patty married her husband of 22 years, George Moberger, 0n August 30, 1986.
Patty had taught math at Merrimack High School and Concord High School (NH) and computer science at Rivier College, and later was a substitute teacher in the Merrimack School District. She had also worked as a software engineer at TASC Services in Reading, MA.; PCA in Amherst, NH: and Sanders/Lockheed Martin in Nashua, NH. She was a former resident of Salem, Manchester, Hudson, Litchfield, and has resided in Merrimack for 14 years before her death.
Patty helped coach her son’s state-champion Destination Imagination team, and was a frequent team mom for the Merrimack Youth Athletics recreational soccer and baseball teams her husband coached. She is fondly remembered as a constant fixture on the sidelines to cheer on both her children’s sports teams, a lifelong Red Sox fan, and a lover of ice cream and chocolates.
Patricia is survived by her husband George; her children Allison and Josh; her mother Elizabeth McNally of Florida; her sister Elizabeth Marcotte of Rollinsford, NH; her brother Timothy McNally of Winchester, MA; three cousins, five nephews, two nieces, and a great-nephew and great- niece. She is also fondly remembered by her caregiver, Elizabeth Edmonson. Patty was pre-deceased by her father, Thomas F. McNally and her sister, Kathleen E. Bogacz.
A Memorial Reception will be held Saturday from 4pm to 5pm at the George R. Rivet Funeral Home 425 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, a celebration of her life will follow immediately after at 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorial donation be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research at www.michaeljfox.org.

Dear George, Allison & Josh,
We were very saddened to hear about Patty's recent passing. I just got the word last Friday and I understand that her memorial service was held on Saturday. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to attend and provide some support in person. Please know that we've made a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation in Patty's memory. We're thinking about you all and I hope we can get to visit again in person sometime soon.

Life is funny and sometimes an unexplainable journey? We?re not really close friends, we?re not family, we?ve not seen each other for decades, and our relationship, limited as it is, was based on what one would certainly characterize as an unusual relationship. That being said, I have strong and very fond memories of you from my childhood and that has translated to a significant degree of sympathy and empathy for what you and your family have gone through. I obviously do not know the details of the situation and can only imagine how difficult the past few years have been for all of you. However, I believe I have likely dealt with many similar issues with my mom, and to an extent, my dad. Both have passed as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you. The difficult always seems to lie between what we want, versus what is truly best for our loved ones. Sometimes peace and comfort for others must outweigh our desire for one to fight and survive to the bitter end. It?s a terrible conflict. Also, please kiss, hug and say hello to your mom for me and accept my condolences and best wishes for you and your children. I am a High School friend of Patty's. I heard of her passing thru Diana Parolise. I am so deeply saddened to hear of Patty's passing. She will always be remembered in my eyes as a Math Genius.
