Patricia Murane Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 30, 2025.
Patricia Ann Murane (née Morgan) passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Woodbridge, Virginia, at the age of 93.

Born on January 25, 1932, in Los Angeles, California, Patricia lived a life deeply rooted in her Christian faith and devotion to family. Her love for the Word of God and steadfast belief in Jesus guided her daily walk and shaped the grace with which she touched those around her.

Patricia was the beloved wife of Air Force Colonel David M. Murane, who preceded her in death in 2006. Together, while stationed in California, Kansas, Hawaii, and Virginia, they built a loving home filled with song, warmth and laughter. As a devoted homemaker, Patricia created a nurturing environment where faith and family flourished.

She is lovingly remembered by her six children: Cindy Krohe; David N. Murane and his wife Tracy; Steven Murane and his wife Robyn; Schelly Peverall and her husband Colin; Patrice Briggs and her husband Les; and Elizabeth Davis and her husband Ward. Her legacy continues through her 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren - each one a cherished part of the beautiful family she helped shape.

Affectionately known as Mom, Grandma, and GiGi, Patricia was beloved for her joyful smile and warm presence. Her kindness and strength of spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A memorial service celebrating Patricia's life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Jubilee Christian Center, located at 4650 Shirley Gate Road in Fairfax, Virginia (22030). The service will reflect her deep Christian faith and will be followed by a reception.

May Patricia's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Pat was a wonderful, faithful, loving woman. She was a friend, mentor, and second mother. An inspirational mother, wife and Jesus follower. I learned so much from her directly and observing her life. From teaching me how to teach Sunday School, to showing up for events in my life, to helping me in times of trouble - she was always there with love, faith and support. She raised wonderful children that are my dearest friends and who carry on her legacy and love of Christ in their families. She will be so greatly missed here on earth and will be one of the faces I will take great joy in seeing in Heaven. Thank you Pat for opening your heart and home to so many of us. Yours was a life well lived. I will cherish my memories of you always until we meet again in Eternity.

Mrs. Murane was one of the kindess and warmest person I have ever met. She and the Colonel always me feel welcome at their home. Even though I would show up with no shoes and just whistle to be let in the back door. My deepest love and sympathy to her family. jim carr

The Murane family was a refuge for me in high school. Thier home was a welcoming, loving, stable place. "Mom" (Pat) was the anchor, always available to sit, talk and share her testimony and strength. Her light was undeniable. Rest in His arms until we meet again. Carrie
