Jack was one of my closest friends in high school and college, I was at UT when he was at St. Edwards, and we were both in Houston after college, he was a groomsman in my wedding in Midland in 1967. I was in St. Petersburg about six years ago for a cousin's birthday party and to visit my aunt in St. Augustine and he was out of town. I talked with him about coming to our 60th HS reunion in 2021. I was going to call him again and came across the obituary. I am very sorry for your loss, he was a great person.

Dearest Barbara, Jack is a special part of our first and fondest memories here in Ponte Vedra. Our family shared a love of Texas and golf with him. He was so patient showing me around town and home after home on sweltering days with my toddler in tow and one due any minute. And I'll never forget that he came close to delivering our precious daughter as he was the only person I knew here to call when I thought I was in labor! We loved him dearly and thank him for finding us our home and always checking in on us through the years. We extend our love and prayers to you and the rest of the family. You are so special to us and are here for anything you may need. Much love and blessings,Karen, John, Reese and Campbell Tyrrell

Jack was an honest, sincere man who gave us wonderful advice when we purchased our home with him as our Realtor. Aside from questions about real estate, he took the time to answer all our questions about the Jacksonville community. We also enjoyed his good nature and genuine friendliness. We are sorry to hear that Pancreatic cancer took his life so early (it is a horrible disease). May he rest in peace.
