Patricia J. Relyea

Patricia Relyea passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving family on Thursday, October 18, 2007, after a long and courageous battle against ovarian cancer.
She will be sorely missed by her husband of 57 years, George W. Relyea and her family.
Patty was born in Ontario, Oregon on September 28, 1931. A longtime resident of Everett, she and George retired to Birch Bay, Blaine, Washington in 1997.
She is survived by her sisters, Frances (John) Stoner, Shirley Bloomer, and Rose Elaine Berrigan; her children, George Russell (Deborah) Relyea, Lea Kamp, Robin Larson, and Mark (Debi) Relyea; her grandchildren; Chantel (Taylor) Kirk, Dannica (Eric) Wulf, Brandyce (Devin) Lee, Aaron Kamp, Ryan (Dee Dee) Kamp, Cody Larson, Kiersten Hicks, Dawn (Ryan) Speegle, Branden (Teasha) Relyea, Nichole Relyea, and Logan Relyea; her great-grandchildren, Taya, Brycen, Trey, Jerzee, Savvi, TJ, Koen, Brooke, Ethan, Akasha, Traiden, Aprillia, Barak and Benjamin; and her close friend and niece, Sandy (Michael) Berkey; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, John and Stephen Nichol.
The family wishes to thank all who have been such a support to Patty; her friends, her congregation, and her doctors and nurses (particularly those at University of Washington Medical Center and Madrona Clinic in Bellingham, WA.)
Since her baptism as one of Jehovah's Witnesses forty-seven years ago, Patty was one who "rejoiced in the hope, endured tribulation, persevered in prayer, and showed tender affection for her loved ones." (Romans 12:10,12) Faithful to the end, Jehovah God provided her with strength of spirit and a firm hope of resurrection to a paradise on earth where he has promised to wipe out all tears, sickness and death. We long for that time when we will be able to hold her in our arms once again.
A memorial of Patty's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Blaine Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9040 Valley View Rd, Custer, Washington.
