In Loving Memory of Patricia "Grammy" Rowe

Patricia Rowe of Aurora, IL., passed away on November 18 closing the chapter on a life rich in love and adventure. Born and raised in the Joliet area, she had a passion for NASCAR and NHRA drag racing, where she enjoyed frequent trips with her racing friends. An annual pilgrimage to Disney World with her family and close friends was a tradition close to her heart.

She was a good catholic girl with an odd loyalty to a byzantine church on the eastside. She graduated from St. Francis when it was all girls and could tell stories about the Nuns... oh the Nuns.

She rode motorcycles, built her own houses, drank wine, loved to dance, never missed a card game, and could make a feast out of anything.

She was strong-willed; would let you know how she felt and was generous to a fault.

Anyone that knew Patty couldn't tell you how many jobs she had, because she seemed to work for Ma Bell/AT&T her entire life. She was a union girl that worked hard and played hard all while providing for her family.

Marriage brought three kids that she adored, and she spent most of her retirement spoiling her 3 grandsons.

You could always find Siamese cats named after famous folks in her house.

Pat faced the challenges of life with courage. She beat breast cancer twice... but the third dance ended on November 18 at 9:56am.

She is remembered by her three children, Sam Reynolds (Jeanette Ryglewski), Scott Rowe (Nanci), Jennifer Mullett (Rodd), three grandsons, Mathew Rowe, Elijah Rowe, and Mason Rowe, four siblings: Geri Carnett (Joe), Carol Churnovic (Bob), John Svetlecich (Helen), Janice Kelly (Paul), extended and adopted family and an entire nation that called her "Grammy".

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, John and Jennie, her 10-year-old brother Jimmy, aunts & uncles, a few nieces and nephews, most of her racing friends, and many cats.

There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony on Dec 30, 2023 from 1 - 5pm. Please contact family for more information.
