Cathy, Becky and Jeanne,
Just wanted you to know that some of my fondest memories as a kid were the winter holidays I spent at your house. Your mom always made the holidays special. I am very sorry for your loss.

To the Severin Family,
Our deepest sympathy in your time of lose. She was such a positive person. She was the only teacher all three of our children had at in common at Lincoln Pk, yet each one was taken as an individual first, then as the sibling of the other two. She will not be forgotten.

To Mrs. Severin's family,
Please know that my and my family's thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. All of the memories posted here are so wonderful to read, and her memory will certainly live on in all of us.
Mrs. Severin was my, my brother's and my sister's third grade teacher at Lincoln. We all requested to have her for our teacher, which speaks to her reputation! She and my parents kept in touch, and a couple of years ago, she stopped in when us kids were home for Christmas season to see how we were all doing. It was so wonderful to have her support even now, nearly twenty years after I was a student in her classroom.
Blessings to you and to all of us who carry her memory with us.

I worked with Pat at Lincoln Park and remember her as such a positive, happy person. She touched so many lives. I was sad to hear of her funeral.

I worked with Pat at Lincoln and always enjoyed talking with her, seeing her smile, and hearing her laugh. I'd also see her helping with Vacation Bible School when Our Savior's and Elim worked together. And it was always a treat to run into her at the West Duluth library so we could talk about books and what she was setting up for the book club to read.
Pat's was a life to celebrate and emulate--not someone famous or wealthy but an educator, a dedicated volunteer and a loving person. We are richer for having known her. She will be missed!

Dear Becky (and family),
I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a nice person and am sure will be sadly missed by all. My mom is here visiting us in AZ and we talked about your mom and how we all met back at the Irving PTA. Long time ago!!! Much sympathy to you and your family at this difficult time.

To Mrs. Severin's Family-
I had the privelege of having Mrs. Severin as a third grade teacher. She was the person who really got me into reading, and inspired me to study literature in college. She was a very special person who will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Cathy and extended family,
We had been praying for your mom during her surgery and illness, and were very sad to hear of her passing. She was such a big part of Elim's family that it's hard to imagine what we'll do without her! She was always happy to serve and did so with a smile. She touched many lives with her love of Christ and her willingness to share it ... I think especially of her work with the youth, and her ministry to shutin members. She will be missed.
I am sorry we will be unable to attend the funeral, as we are visiting family in Indiana. I sure wish we could be there, but know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Deb, Giff, and Billy Trethewey

To Pat's family,
Your mother/grandma was a wonderful, warm person. She made our family feel so welcome at Elim Church. She always had a smile ready and was really glad to see us. All three of our children loved Pat, especially Nikki, who Pat helped mentor through confirmation. Pat will be sincerely missed by all of us. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Cathy, Becky and Jeannie-
I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mother is very special to me and my mother, Clarice. I have been thinking of her so much in these past few days. One thing that I want to keep with me always is her cheerful voice. She had a voice that could raise anyone's spirits. I know her family meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed by so many.

To Pat's Family
To know Pat was very special for me and my son, Peter. He never had her in school but Pat always had a smile and "How are you doing?" each time she saw us.
I recently saw her at the grocery store and she was that interested person I needed so much at that time.
We all will miss her. We know that she will be watching over each and every one of you. You each will feel her in your own special ways.
She was a great lady.

Cathy, Becky, Jeanne & family,
Your mom was one of my oldest and very dearest of friends. I can't begin to tell you how sad I am at her passing. She was a huge part of my life for so many years. I will miss our annual Christmas get-togethers at the Pickwick. Please know you are all in my thoughts at this very very sad time.
Love,

Pat was one of the first people I had met at Elim. She was one of the reasons we came to the church. She made you feel very comfortable. We will miss her. I'm glad that we were able to know her. We are very sad for your family's loss.

Dear Becky, Cathy & Jeannie...
My most heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your families. I was always very fond of your mother and enjoyed many long converstions (and I do mean long) with her over the past 35 years.
I always got a kick out her and she could always make me smile. It meant so much to me 5 years when she made the trip with Becky to come to my own mother's funeral. Ironically, her furneral was on 4/7/01.
Hold onto and share your memories of her with each other, family and friends, for they will comfort you on those tough days that lay ahead. Life is so short and these are the times you need the bond of sisterhood the most.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prays. I will see you all on Tuesday.
Love Susie
