Patricia Skiles Ivy Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2025.
Patricia Skiles Ivy, 86, of Midland, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2025 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Resthaven Memorial Park. Chaplain Chris Haggar will be officiating.

Patricia was born on May 21, 1939 in Stamford, Texas to Henry and Elva West Skiles. Patricia married the love of her life Richard Ivy on June 7, 1953 in Stamford, Texas. He asked her if she needed a ride home from school. That ride lasted 68 years until his passing in 2020. In those years she became wife, mother, memaw, great grandma and great great grandma. If anybody got out of line, she would threaten to take off her shoe and use it. That was all it took.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard, her parents Henry and Elva Skiles, sister Mary Davis, brother Ralphord Skiles and sister Merlene Hutson.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Ivy Pool, Jerri Brandon, Shirley (Roger) Stroud, and Lisa Ivy; grandchildren, Mark, Larisa, Mandy, Luke, Brice, Pete, Billy, Christy, and Korey; twenty-three great grandkids and three great great grandkids.

We would like to thank Chaplain Chris Haggar, Mary, Jackie, Cortney, and Nicole of Angel's Hospice for your love and support and taking such good care of our mother. You became a part of our family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.
