Patricia "Pat" Taillefer, passed away peacefully in Modesto on March 2, 2016 at the age of 84.  Pat was born at UC Hospital in San Francisco on July 7, 1931 to Albert and Winnifred Douglass.  Pat moved to Escalon, CA 40 years ago and has been a resident ever since. 
Pat worked for over 60 years in accounting.  She had a strong work ethic and a thrifty nature about her.  She also had a fast and witty sense of humor that would make anyone smile.  She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, traveling and going on cruises.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society where she made many friendships.  Pat was a very strong willed woman with a big heart.  She is deeply loved by her family and will be forever missed.
Pat leaves behind her children: Kathleen Ellman, Paul Taillefer, and Jean "John" Taillefer, her grandchildren: Heidi Taillefer, Todd Taillefer, Hilary Ellman, Grant Ellman and Toni Taillefer.  Pat also leaves behind her brother, Richard Douglass and sister, Jerrie Nelson and her brother-in-law, Marty Taillefer, along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Pat is preceded in death by her son, Wally Gladstone and her brothers, Al Douglass and Tommy Douglass.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapels.  A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Deegan Chapel in Escalon.  A Chapel service is scheduled for Friday, March 11th at 2:00 PM at Deegan Chapel in Escalon.  Remembrances in Pat's name may be made to The American Heart Association.
