Patricia Catherine Wiesner (Patty) was peacefully called home by God on Friday evening, October 5, 2018. She passed away at home following a long illness with family at her side. Her radiant smile and joyful demeanor will be greatly missed.
Patty Jennings was born in Buffalo, New York to Patrick and Alice Jennings, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Mount Mercy Academy with honors and attended the Bryant and Stratton Institute. On October 8, 1955 she married her lifelong love and childhood friend, Cliff Wiesner. Together they moved to the Bay Area in July, 1969.
She worked as a legal secretary, librarian and spent fourteen years as Vice-President in charge of administration with AdServ Corporation. In her heart, though, she was a loving wife, a devoted mother and a faithful Catholic. She was active in many church and charitable causes throughout her life and enjoyed traveling; visiting every continent.
She is survived by her loving husband, Clifford, of Concord, and Sons, Fr. Mark Wiesner and David Wiesner, and grandchildren Matthew and Caitlin, all of Livermore. She is also survived by her sister Jean Feedham of San Antonio, Texas, and siblings Gail Hammond, Mary Meyer and John Jennings of Buffalo, New York.
Family and friends are invited to services to be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 1315 Lomitas Avenue, Livermore: Visitation at 9:30 a.m., Mass at 10:30 a.m. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services; CRS.org.
