Patricia WIGLE Obituary
(née Carson)
Patricia passed away peacefully at home on May 9, 2014. Wife of the late Frederick (Bill) Colin Wigle. Predeceased by her only sibling Evelyn Kitts and eldest daughter Patricia Anne Logan (Margaret Maxted). Much loved mother of Robert (Barbara O'Neill), Frederick William (Monica Wigle) and Karen (Austin Jeffries). Beloved grandmother of Gillian Logan (Fabien Welp-Barr), Kelly Wigle (Andrew Porter) and Nicholas Wigle. Great- grandmother of Anneke Barr. Loved by Zoë Horn (Michael Richardson). Pat grew up in Timmins. She won a scholarship to the University of Toronto where she studied Occupational Therapy. She graduated in 1940 at the top of her class. She met Bill while visiting Amherstburg with fellow student Vivian Hutchinson (née Jones). They were married on October 27, 1942. Pat filled her life with devoted care to her family. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church was an important part of her life. She enjoyed a wonderful network of friends, was a staunch Canadian, and made the best cherry pies and butter tarts in the world. As per her wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance and Celebration will be held at

I have such wonderful memories of all of the times our families spent together years ago. 'Aunt'Pat was a woman whom I greatly admired. Many times throughout my life I thought of what she showed me about life's difficulties and joys,about commitment to family and community and about kindness. My deepest sympathy goes out to all my cousins and their families as you struggle to cope with another great loss.

To the Wigle family, I wish to express my condolences on your loss, but continue that with the thought that I don't think I could have ever met two nicer people than your parents. Your Mother, with all her class, kindness and dignity, and your Father with his strangely gentle demeanor, thoughtfulness and quiet intellectual strength. Rob, Bill, Karen, Margaret and families,
Your mom was a gracious and kind lady. I have many memories growing up with Mrs Wigle driving "Patti" and all her friends to our functions. I never forgot it. She loved her family very much and you should be proud of the care you provided for your mom to the last day. My thoughts are with all of you especially this week-end as we celebrate Mother's Day.
