My most sincere condolences to the Mier family. I was very fortunate to have grown up with the Mier boys. Pat was my mentor and an inspiration to me from the first time I met him. Pat was like an older brother to me and I will miss his smile and his witticisms.

I am so sorry to hear about Pat's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Mier and Hurst families. I am sorry I didn't know about the service as I definitely would have been there. Hoping Pat has found peace and is working his gardening magic in the Heavenly Kingdom. God bless you all!

O brother, rest now and rejoice
you have reached your goal
and as you look down upon us
we feel the abundance of love
you have always shared
enough love to heal the hurt in our hearts
rest my brother in the brilliant light of God
(sent by your brother on your computer)

We will always remember Pat for his goodness and happy spirit. His smile lit up the room and his swiftness in move gave energy to all. I'll remember my cousin's lighthearted spirit. My mother, Beatrice Eureste, was his Cousin, referred to as Tia Beatrice because of age difference. Mother and Dad were great friends with Tio Pat (Mom's first cousin and Tia Tacha (Pat's parents). Mother will remember Pat for his very loving ways. All our family was in sorrow during his illness and we are now rejoicing as he journeys to be with our Lord and loved ones in Heaven. Cousin, Mary Alice Eureste

Pat was a gentle and genuinely kind person. We will always remember the good times we had together, and we will miss him every day. Rest in peace, sweet Pat.
