Patrick Caro Obituary

Published by The Press-Enterprise on Jan. 1, 2017.
PATRICK JOSHUA CARO Age 23, of Redlands, CA, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016. He was born in Apple Valley, CA on July 4, 1993 and during his short life touched the lives of those who knew him best. Patrick is survived by his parents, Peter and Areli Caro; his two brothers Peter and Michael Caro, and two sisters Tricia Dalke and Emily Caro. He will also be missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, a brother-in-law, and many friends. Patrick loved the outdoors and sports. During his younger years, Patrick earned many Cub Scout patches. He played soccer, football, and swam for the Indian Hills Swim Team in Jurupa Valley, CA. Patrick was part of his high school swim and wrestling teams. He was passionate about the marital arts with over 14 years' experience, earning him two black belts in Shorin-ryu. Some of his happiest times were spending time training and teaching at the USKO training dojos in Riverside and Corona, where he was known as Sensei Patrick. Patrick graduated from Redlands High School in 2010. He was attending California Baptist University and enrolled in their pre-medical program at the time of his death. A lovely and touching memorial service was held at the Redlands Church of Christ on Thursday, December 22, 2016 and was laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Colton. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. May we honor him by following his example and performing acts of kindness and generosity often.
