Patrick Chambers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 5 to Aug. 27, 2023.
Patrick T. Chambers passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on July 18, 2023, at the age of 68 in Jensen Beach, Florida. Born on August 28, 1954, in Bronx, NY, moving to Red Bank NJ at an early age. He attended River Street School, Graduating from Red Bank Regional HS Class of 1973.

Pat was a people person, always welcoming others with open arms and a friendly smile. He had the gift of gab and loved sharing stories and jokes, but he was also an attentive listener. He loved sports and was a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He had an impressive memory for sports trivia and history. He attained his long time wish of retirement in Florida, where he enjoyed golf, fishing, and the warm, sunny weather.

Pat was a Butcher at Acme Markets and Foodtown. He also proudly owned and operated Monmouth Meats in Red Bank for seven years.

Pat will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mary (Orban), his son Patrick of Jersey City, his daughter Kathryn D'Anna, son-in-law Christopher, and his beautiful granddaughters Carly and Kiera D'Anna of Morris Plains. He also leaves behind his brothers John and Thomas Chambers of Red Bank and brother-in-law Joseph Orban of Bartlett, Illinois, along with 2 nieces and 4 nephews.

A Funeral Mass in memory of Pat will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 3pm at St. James Roman Catholic Church, located at 94 Broad St., Red Bank, NJ.

Pat's warm presence, infectious laughter, and love for life will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Oh my gosh, I am so so so sad to hear about Pats passing I used to work with him at the Acme in Shrewsbury. We had One of the best times of our lives in that room and anyone that was there knew it our store manager, Bob Coyle also knew it. Pat always always had a laugh always made you feel comfortable and was such a dedicated family man. The only true gentleman that was a butcher I ever knew at Acme. He always had fun, but he also knew when we had to get down to work. Still today one of the best places I ever worked in my entire life. He always talked so lovingly about his wife, and he was so proud of his children a real family man a real family man that respected his family before the party. I always thought I´d have one or two more with you. I always thought I´d see you again at that Irish pub in Redbank till we meet again and take the edge off my friend CATHY

I remember you coming into work saying your financial advisor said don't retire till 70. Then a week later you said she passed at the age of 70 and you were retiring at 62. How we laughed.
I'm glad you did. I miss you Pat, you are truly a great person!!

We were so very sad to hear about Pat! We lived on the same block on Coleman Avenue and our children played together. Pat, Mary, Kathryn and Patrick were wonderful neighbors. Our sympathies to Mary and their children.

Pat will be missed but memories will live on. Fishing with his father in law, partying with his parents, cooking the best cut of meats for dinners but most of all caring for his family, Mary, Katherine and Patrick. God blessed his soul.
