Patrick Cuoco Sr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 21, 2024.
Patrick "Pat" J. Cuoco, Sr., 75, a long time resident of Fort Pierce, FL, passed away on, May 18, 2024. Patrick was born on October 18, 1948, in his hometown of Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, New York.

He was proceeded in death by his Parents, Pasquale J. Cuoco and Mary Lanzano, and his Brothers, Anthony Cuoco and Robert (Florence) Cuoco.

Pat attended Our Lady of Guadalupe for grade school, Xaverian High School and St. Francis College, graduating in 1972, majoring in Education. Pat proudly served in the US Army, National Guard, as part of the Signal Corps. He met his beautiful bride, Mary Rose LaTerra in 1970, they were married on May 4, 1974. Together they welcomed 3 children; 2 sons and 1 daughter.

Anyone who knew Pat, knew his great love for music and singing. In his younger years, he would often be found on stage with the band at the Knights of Columbus, singing a Tony Bennett or Frank Sinatra song, in the kitchen cooking up a delicious meal or under the hood, working on a car. Pat was a Business Owner, (C&P Combustion and Monarch Home Improvements), as well as an English Teacher at Port St. Lucie High School and even waited tables, but his favorite, life long career and passion was auto mechanics. Pat had a knack to fix things and would often work his magic to help others. It always felt as though there wasn't anything he couldn't fix.

Pat was active for many years in his local chapter of the Knights of Columbus, along with his two sons. Together they were a part of the Knights of Columbus bowling league, as well as helping to raise money for persons with disabilities. Pat would run the kitchen at the Knights of Columbus and cook for events. He also volunteered to cook and serve at local soup kitchens. The local car part stores always looked forward to his baked ziti and goodies during the holidays. Pat was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, give advice and fatherly guidance, as well as his opinion! He sure had a lot of those.

Pat is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Rose Cuoco, his children, Patrick II (Colleen) Cuoco, John Cuoco, Donna (Benito) Martinez, his grandchildren, Josephine, Patrick "PJ III", Noah and Benito "Little Benny", his niece, Denise (Jesse) Seblosky and his great nephew, Todd "TJ", as well as many cousins and extended family members.

A celebration of life to honor Pat will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Treasure Coast Victory Center, Fort Pierce, FL. Flowers, donations, and condolences can be offered at the Church (3212 S US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34986). Lunch will be provided following the service.

The song may have ended, but the melody lingers on. Gone, but never forgotten. Always in our hearts.

I will always remember how equally important family and faith was to Pat. He was a true participant of the Catholic faith and he made sure his family was as well.

He was like Dad number two for me. I loved his voice. He loved seeing Frank Sinatra. He would surely be missed..
