I am saddened to know Patrick passed away. He reached out to me last summer 2024 as it´s been 30 years since I saw and spoke to him. I´m grateful to have gotten the chance to talk to him. He told me how proud he was for his children and becoming a grandpa. We shared 2 fun years together in VA Beach and moving together to Houston when he was in the Navy intelligence and working with US Customs. I remember he was so proud to have become a police officer in Portsmouth. I have many good memories with him from dancing to our favorite freestyle songs to fun roadtrips taking a sailboat on the Galveston bay watching the sunset. He had a big heart and would do anything for the people he loved. Thank you for your dedication and service. Rest peacefully Patrick. - Liz

I met Patrick recently under unexpected circumstances. We were such different people but our differences caused conversations and admiration for each other that was profound. I called him teddy bear. He spoke of his daughter so often and he loved her so much. I didn´t know he had passed and it breaks my heart. He made so many sacrifices and took on so much pain for our country - but he was so kind. I´ll never forget you Patrick. I love you.

Some people come into the world, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same thereafter. Pat was a proud father, an incredible friend, full of grit, and a true American hero. God bless him and his family always.

The really good stories aren´t fit to be discussed in a public forum, better shared in person over a stiff drink.

Pat is missed. He was the best firearms instructor I had in 25 years of service.

I was so sorry to hear about Pat's passing. He was a force of nature whose absence will leave quite a hole in the world. Pat was my first section chief at HSI HQ and I remember being initially a little bit afraid of him, having heard he was a drill sergeant. He turned out to be one of the smartest, funniest, most compassionate bosses I have had in my many years in law enforcement. I always told my husband that if I was ever kidnapped in a foreign country and needed an extraction, that he should call Pat...Pat would know exactly what to do as he always has. :) Julia, my heart is broken for you. You are much too young to lose your Dad, and, although we never met, know that you will be in my prayers as you deal with this huge loss. Your Dad was a great man. May he rest in peace.
